San Marino

These San Marino shirt is great. I bought this shirt from the same guy of the Cuba, Jamaica and Peru shirt. San Marino is a very small country who, surprisingly, never qualified. At the second of September this year the Netherlands won with 11-0 against San Marino. It was a beautiful game. There isn’t much more to say about the football team.

Last I found a new collector named Sasha from Germany. He asked me if I had a real San Marino shirt. There is a club in Italy who is also from San Marino. So there is a chance you get not a real San Marino shirt. But I am for sure that I’ve a real one.

Cuba

This is one of my two shirts I'm not sure of this is real. This shirt I got from a Dutch seller. I couldn't find any pictures, but the design is similar to other adidas shirts from that time. The only strange thing is there isn't a logo, but there is only the name CUBA on it. So hopefully someone can send me a picture of a match with the Cuba shirt…

I've been once to Cuba. It's an amazing country with a beautiful nature. I can recommend you to go to Cuba. Cuba’s biggest receiving come from the tourism. Cuba isn’t a very rich country, so you support the country!

Iran

This shirt is from the same website as the Saudi-Arabia shirt. This website has a lot of Puma shirts. The designs for the World Cup in 2006 are very boring. Now the designs are better. They have won the Asian cup three times, but that was almost 40 years ago. Nowadays the team isn't suprisingly good. The last Asian cup they came to the quarter final.

Argentina

This shirt I got from my sister. My sister loves to travel and she always buy a shirt for me and my brother. She went to Argentina in 2007. When she asked me which name I want at the back, I didn't want Messi. I choose for Cambiasso. I think he's a brilliant midfielder. My brother choose for Riquelme. In the time Riquelme was playing for Villarreal he was one of the most dangerous attacking midfielders in Europe. In 2006 he reached the semi final of the Champions League!

The colours of Argentina are white with light blue. I thinks the colours are standing for Maria. They are very religious in Argentina. I think the problem of Argentina is that they don't have a good coach. In the Netherlands we have Bert van Marwijk and he is great! But Maradonna or Baptista aren't very good. In my opinion Argentina hast the best attackers: Messi, Milito, Aguero, Tevez, Lavezzi. Those are great!

Peru

This shirt I got from a local seller. I also bought a San Marino, Jamaica and Cuba shirt from this guy. This Peru shirt is from Walon, a not really famous sponsor. Peru didn't had a good time the last years, but in the Copa America they came to the semi-final, but then lost from Uruguay. Jefferson Farfan is one of the better players of Peru. He had played for PSV Eindhoven. He was a great player, but after his switch to Schalke he didn't became better.

Slovenia

This shirt I also bought at my local football shop. The design isn't very special. Just like the team. But there is one player we have to keep in mind. Forwarder Tim Matavz is playing for the dutch club PSV. He is a brilliant player and he can be become a very good player.

Saudi-Arabia

This shirt is from a dutch website. This shirt was wearing during the World Cup in 2006. There are no famous Arabian players. All the Arabian players playing in the Middle-East competitions. So the most of them you don't know. The design of the shirt is very boring. Only the palm tree in the logo is funny.

China

China is a big country with no good football team. Suprisingly because of the huge popularity. This shirt I bought at my local football shop. It wans't my idea to buy a shirt, but when I saw this shirt I bought it. I like the design and the colors. Also my brother was very hapy with it. I have a map of the world and when I got a shirt I put an pin in it. China is a very big country so now it takes a large of space at the map, so it looks that I've got more countries than when I bought a San Marino shirt. That are my brothers thoughts. This shirt is worn during the Olympic games in Beijing. The only thing is that I'm almost for sure that this shirt is only worn by woman matches. But this design isn't made for a woman. Very strange.

Netherlands

This is my second Netherlands shirt. This one I bought before the European Cup in 2008. The Netherlands played amazing matches against Italy and France. But the match against Russia was totaly different. Guus Hiddink, coach of Russia during the EC, was just to good for us. It makes it weird that he eliminated his own country. That was the last match of our former coach Marco van Basten. Now we have Bert van Marwijk. Not everyone is a fan of the Netherlands nowadays, but we've reached the final the last world cup, so van Marwijk gets my credits.

Netherlands

This shirt I bought before the World Cup of 2006, which was for the Netherlands a dramatic tournament. In the group stage we didn't play very well, but besides of that we went to the 1/8-finale. But when Portugal became the opponent our changes of coming far dissapear. The match between the Netherlands and Portugal became a famous one. Not because of the brilliant play, but of the many cards. 16 Yellow cards from which of them 4 went to a red card. It was a shame for the country.

The name at the back is Cocu. Cocu is a former player of Barcelona. And nowadays he is the assistant-coach of the Netherlands.

England

The England shirt is my first national football shirt I had. My father loves to go to Great-Brittain. So in 2005 we also went to England and there I bought my first national shirt: England. I believe England is the only top country whose clothe sponsor is Umbro. I was always wondered by the fact that England had such great players, but never comes far in a tournament. Maybe there are to many stars.

When David Beckham played for Manchester United he was my favourtie player, but when he went to Real Madrid my admiration for David was gone. Real Madrid isn't my favourite club in the world and after they bought Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, etc. for amazing prices I started to hate that club. When José Mourinho became the trainer I was for sure.

How my collection get started

Hi everybody,

My name is Luuc Veraart. I'm 17 years old and live in the Netherlands. I always love to have football shirts, and I sort of collected Manchester United shirts. In the summer of 2010 I had around the 10 national football shirts and when I discoverred the collection from Nick Warick I was for sure: I want to collect all the shirts of the 208 FIFA football nations.
Nowadays I have some more shirts...

By the way, don't be too hard on my English.
